Working Together

Washington DC, October 17, 2000 – Three leading Internet health organizations announced the formation of a coordinating committee to collaborate on ethical conduct codes. The committee aims to ensure a system of e-health codes that is understandable to the public and that uses a common terminology.
Hi-Ethics (Health Internet Ethics), Health On the Net Foundation (HON), and Internet Healthcare Coalition’s e-Health Ethics Initiative will endeavor to include universal terms regarding health and the Internet in their respective codes.
As Chief Medical Officer of adam.com, Dr. Greene is a founding member of Hi-Ethics and has labored with distinguished representatives from other eHealth ventures to set standards for quality and trustworthiness in eHealth.
Dr. Greene has also participated in the Internet Healthcare Coalition and with HON (DrGreene.com has been a member since 1996). He is very excited about the groups now working together to make health on the net the best it can be.
